SUMMER OUTFIT: WHAT I WORE IN NEW YORK CITY

I can’t believe how time flies! It has been almost a year since our trip to New York City. While browsing through my Summer Outfit Archive, I thought of making a post of WHAT I WORE IN NEW YORK. All I could remember was, we had an amazing time, and it was one of the best travels we had. If given a chance, New York is one of the cities where I would like to visit over and over again.

A trip to New York City in the summer is always a thrill because there are so many things to do in the city that never sleeps. Long days of exploring means, I needed to dress for comfort as well as style.

If you are planning for your trip, you can also check our First-Timer Itinerary to NYC post, but in this post, I will be sharing only WHAT I WORE IN NEW YORK CITY. You can also head over to my Instagram account to check out even more photos from my trip.

OUTFIT ONE- What I Wore in New York City

On our first day, our day was quite full of things to do from morning to late afternoon. So I have to wear something comfortable. I wore this long white top from Zara with white shorts and paired it with my sneakers. I love this outfit, its chic and comfortable, which by the way, I got a few dozen stares of this outfit. It was such a lovely sunny day to wander the city.

OUTFIT TWO– What I Wore in New York City

On our second day, we were scheduled for a helicopter tour. It requires to wear pants, a long-sleeved shirt or jacket, and comfortable shoes that will not come loose. So, I threw on my check tailored pants and blazer from Zara and my Valentino shoes. I got so many compliments on this outfit, it looks good in both with heels and sneakers. OUTFIT THREE– What I Wore in New York City

Oh my god! I vividly remember this day, my husband convinced me to wake up very early to catch the sunrise (because he likes to take photos with fewer people around), but I’m glad that we did it. I wore this blue pleated dress from Zara with sneakers out to explore Brooklyn, Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island.

OUTFIT FOUR- What I Wore in New York City

On the same day, as part of our itinerary was to visit The Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center, which offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of New York City. Since it was just nearby to our hotel, I did a quick change. I wore this mustard jumper from the Banana Republic with navy trousers from Top Shop and paired it with sandals from Zara.

OUTFIT FIVE- What I Wore in New York City

We had our breakfast at Asiate Restaurant at the Mandarin Hotel. It has a superb view over Central Park. I dressed up a little bit, worn this white vest dress and linen shorts from Zara. After a sumptuous meal, we walked a bit around Central Park. It was indeed a lovely morning.

OUTFIT SIX- What I Wore in New York City

Our fifth day, after we had a nice breakfast, we were set to explore Chelsea, walk the High Lane, shop in Meat Packing District, visit the 9/11 Memorial and eat TONS of delicious food. So, I changed my outfit from dressy to a casual look. I wore my knitted top and linen shorts from Zara with my sneakers.

OUTFIT SEVEN: What I Wore in New York City

On our last two days, we booked a room in The Pierre, Taj Hotel, New York, where we had a lovely stay. It’s such an elegant and historic hotel, located just in front of Central Park. It was one of my favorite days because we spent most of our day in the hotel, and my feet could finally rest. I put this jumpsuit on from H&M for dinner and a window shopping at 5th Avenue.

OUTFIT EIGHT: What I Wore in New York City

Oh! Here comes our last day in NYC. It was another relaxing day for us, no plans to follow. I put this super cute and comfy tube jumpsuit from Zara along with a salmon blazer from H&M to add a pop of color. It was a perfect outfit to walk around in Central Park and in Upper East Side.

Alright, that wraps up my WHAT I WORE IN NEW YORK CITY post. I hope you enjoyed browsing through my outfits, and I hope it gives you some inspiration on what to wear. Let me know if you like these outfits or which one do you prefer, I would love to hear.
