RECOMMENDED WEDDING SUPPLIERS IN SOUTHWEST FRANCE

Are you a bride-to-be planning a destination wedding in Southwest of France? As a bride who got married in France, I thought of sharing the details about our wedding suppliers in Southwest France.

In our case, since my husband is French, we did not hire a wedding planner/coordinator. We managed to sort things out, with the help of his family. However, it was still a challenge for us, which one to pick that is reliable and able to deliver base on our expectations. We are happy with all of our suppliers except for one—that I won’t be recommending AT ALL!

Wedding Venue- Chateau de Pennautier- Wedding Suppliers in Southwest France

If you are looking for a classic and elegant feel to your wedding, Chateau de Pennautier is a good example of classicism. It is an extraordinary renaissance chateau, known as the mini Versailles of Languedoc for its grandeur and style. It has a dreamy backdrop, beautiful vineyard, and enchanting chapel. We love its elegant style and welcoming atmosphere – simply perfect for a classic french wedding.

We are pleased to choose Chateau de Pennautier for our wedding reception. On our wedding day, all run smoothly as we hoped for. Just a side note, make sure to discuss all your possible requirements beforehand as they were firm to their policy.

Catering- Jean Luc Bernat Traiteur Wedding Suppliers in Southwest France

Whether you have already found your ideal wedding venue or you are in the process of doing so, the next most important task will be to decide on the food. Understated and fine food and drinks are french wedding highlights to please their guest. Which by the way the food & drink make up a large percentage of our wedding costs.

I highly recommend Jean Luc Bernat Traiteur, not only he offers the top quality of food but also, he truly knows the best products from the region. He is a trustworthy person, and most of all he is very flexible. We hired him on the day of our wedding, from cocktail to dinner, and for brunch the following day. We are so pleased with his service, and we received lots of good feedback from our guests about how amazing the foods were.

Champagne and Wine– Wedding Suppliers in Southwest France

As mentioned, good food and drinks are a must-have for a french wedding. So, a selection of your drinks also plays a major role that will match to your food menu. Chateau de Pennautier is not only an outstanding wedding venue but also offers excellent wines, which grown and made on its estate.

We also consumed wines from Chateau Lassime, an award-winning winery from Bordeaux producing bio wine. They have a great selection of red wines, rose, blanc, and cremant.

Photographer- Lily Lou Studio-Wedding Suppliers in Southwest France

Sylvain Suquet, our photographer from Lily Lou studio, was efficient. Make sure to discuss beforehand what you want, or you can even show him some inspirational photos you prefer. I like how raw the final photos are, without unnecessary editing. I just hope that two photographers were commencing the work to captured the moments of our day.

Fireworks- Au Couer des Etoiles– Wedding Suppliers in Southwest France

If you are looking for a way to inject sparkle into your big day, a dazzling wedding fireworks display is one of the best options. But of course, it’s up to your venue whether they allow fireworks or not, and also, it requires a permit from the municipality.

Another recommended wedding suppliers in Southwest France is Jeremy Hermann from Au Couer des Etoiles is very reliable, flexible, professional, and easy to deal with. He took care of everything, including the permit. He exceeded our expectations and really brought real touch to our wedding day.

Patisserie- Bruno Bimas- Wedding Suppliers in Southwest France

One of the highlights of a French wedding is the presentation of the cake. We sourced for a patisserie within the area of our wedding venue. Apparently, Bruno Bimas is one of the best patisseries in Carcassone— and I couldn’t agree more. We went for pièce montée— it’s a french traditional wedding cake, a tower of cream-filled, puff-pastry balls and encircled with caramelized sugar.

Tables, Chairs, Plates, etc.- Evenement Votre– Wedding Suppliers in Southwest France

Evenement Votre is also in Carcassone, where our wedding venue was. They have a large selection of cutleries, tables and chairs, table cloths, napkins, and etc. During our visit, they were helpful and logical as per our needs.

Flowers and Table Decorations- Wedding Suppliers in Southwest France

The centerpiece is one of the main elements of most weddings’ decor. Adding flowers that match the color scheme of your wedding, definitely brightens any room or venue. But also keep in mind that, real flowers can be very expensive. Our wedding venue is already stunning by itself and doesn’t require any unnecessary decors to keep it simple, yet classic and elegant looking.

We hired, Yami Decoratrice Fleuriste, for the art de table. Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations from her. However, she managed to pull off the table settings, and we loved it.

And for my wedding bouquet, I asked one of the local flower shops, for a classic all-white bouquet. I love how timeless the monochromatic ivory bouquet is.

Host by DJ EDGE– Wedding Suppliers in Southwest France

DJ Edge was recommended by a friend who hosted his birthday party before. Apart from his reasonable rate, he really knows how to adopt the crowd that creates it to the next level. All I could remember is, everyone was dancing and enjoying the party, to the point that we didn’t notice the time until the owner showed up and signaling to stop the music because it was already five in the morning. So, yeah, it was fun!

So, the only one that I am not going to recommend among our wedding suppliers in Southwest France, is the videographer.

VIDEOGRAPHER- CASINO PICTURES– Wedding Suppliers in Southwest France

We searched carefully for a videographer, and we took our time to decide because we ought for the best souvenir of our wedding day. Then we found Casino Pictures, in their video albums, their works look well made and professional— something similar to what I was looking for. I showed some videos that I am aiming for to Mathieu Casino, (I believe he is the owner), and he was positive that they could deliver the same.

Come to the wedding day, one guy showed up with very basic equipment in hand, however, I gave him the benefit of the doubt, that maybe they are good at editing and be able to deliver the final edit to what I have asked for. Unfortunately, the quality and editing of the final video were below POOR. And take note they are EXPENSIVE— so I have high expectations from them!!!

It’s so disappointing that people can’t deliver to what they have promised and that you paid so much because you wanted to have the best souvenir for your wedding. So, please avoid CASINO PICTURES!

However, on a positive note, I really hope this post comes in useful while you are looking for your wedding supplier in Southwest France. If you want to read more wedding post, you can check;
