A TRUE PARADISE IN CONSTANCE HALAVELI MALDIVES + review
Coucou, how are you all doing? I hope you were able to read my previous travel posts. I am taking you along for another treat on today’s post, a Trip to the Maldives.
Deciding which hotel to stay in was a bit challenging as there are hundreds of nice resorts in the Maldives. We chose Constance Halaveli Maldives for several reasons, including the privacy, great reviews, and we stayed already in one of the Constance Resorts chains when we were in Seychelles, so we already had an idea in terms of the service and standards of the hotel.
SEAPLANES
From Maldives Airport, you are going to take a seaplane to go to Halaveli Island. Getting around the numerous tiny islands of the Maldives almost always requires the use of a seaplane. There’s a dedicated lounge for Constance Halaveli and Constance Moofushi guests, which is next to the seaplane boarding area (there are two Constance Resorts in the Maldives). From here, you will already feel the warm welcome by the staff and a nice lounge to relax while waiting for your seaplane to board.
Constance Halaveli Maldives, will arrange your seaplane flight, you just have to provide your international flight details, and they will manage. Please note that you only have 20 kilos free (hand-carry and check-in luggage combined). They will weigh everything, almost including ourselves haha! We were not aware of this, we thought the same rules apply as in normal planes check-in + hand carry. By that time, I just came back from my five-week cruise in the Mediterranean, a month in the Philippines, days in Singapore then to the Maldives and after to France, you can imagine how much stuff I had with me, in
Taking a seaplane is like a sightseeing tour, giving you a birds-eye view of the islands, reefs, and lagoons as you fly by. After a short 20-minute flight, we made it to our private little island- Halaveli.
The Constance Halaveli Resort

Water Villa– each villa comes with a high raftered ceiling, with its own private plunge pool and a furnished terrace. The villa had an infinity pool looking out into the endless ocean with its own staircase right into the water. We could hop right off into the water anytime we wanted.
The purpose of this trip, was pure relaxation aside from the water activities there was nothing much to do because obviously, we are on the island, and you need a boat or a seaplane to move around. We stayed 4nights and 5 days in this beautiful resort though we were not lucky with the weather, most of the time it was cloudy as you can see on most of the pictures, nevertheless, we still managed to enjoy our stay. You will never get bored in this resort, either you troll down on white sandy beaches and swim in turquoise water teeming with colorful marine life or just stay in your villa itself, I sometimes refused to get out of this room.
The Constance Halaveli Maldives are built out along a “jetty” – a walkway extending from the mainland. Constance Halaveli happens to have the longest
And the beach in this resort truly felt like paradise: the sand was like icing sugar, the aqua blue water and crystal clear minus the sunshine when we were there.
The pure white stretches of sand aligned beautifully against the mesmerizing turquoise water.
Dining in Constance Halaveli Maldives- we indulged in fine food and sumptuous flavors at Jahaz, Jing and Meeru restaurants.
Experience- Since the Maldives are composed of coral islands, we booked a snorkeling activity. With the clarity of the water, it is easy to appreciate colorful schools of fish, reef sharks, and stingrays. The reef was okay, but we were expecting more color in it.
Are you not getting enough of the pictures? I made a short video about this trip, just click the red play button. I hope you will like it!
Constance Halaveli Maldives, offer the Honeymoon Package, which gave a substantial discount on the room cost, as well as a daily credit to use on food, beverage & spa.
This was by far the best beach destination we have been to and a perfect location for a honeymoon. If the Maldives is close to you, or if you’re willing to take the trip out there, I more than recommend paying a visit.
Can’t decide which paradise to go to? You can check out my travel posts about Mauritius and Seychelles it might help you or email me at infomail@jesschatenay.com if you want more information, I will try my best to help you.

Other Comments:
- A perfect location for a honeymoon.
- It's always good to explore around the island. There's a lot of nice spots around.
- Dreamy overwater villa.
- Service of the resort was excellent, however, they lack of coördination, since the resort is the one who manages/books the seaplane schedule they failed to inform us about the terms & conditions of the seaplane like the number of kilos included.
- On the day of our departure from the resort, the weather was bad, there are around 5/6 seaplanes a day going to the resort, and they are the ones managing the schedule of their guests. They put us on the last schedule of the day knowing that the weather was bad. Worst case, no one will take responsibility if we missed our international flight and we almost did. It was a bit of a hectic finish of our vacation but luckily we made it.
- Still highly recommended, I just hope that they will fix their logistic system.
