AMAZING 48 HOURS AT THE PIERRE HOTEL-NEW YORK CITY
Amazing 48 hours at The Pierre Hotel– as the saying goes, ‘‘Save the best for last”, and we literally did as we want to treat ourselves a taste of luxury on our last two days of our holidays in NYC— and The Pierre did not disappoint us. The Pierre Hotel is one of the iconic hotels in New York City located at the intersection of 5th Avenue, Upper East Side of Manhattan, which is perfectly situated across from Central Park.
Despite all the reviews I read, nothing could have prepared me for the surreal excitement I have felt as we entered the property—dazzling marble-floored lobby where we were welcomed with a refreshing towel, and a refreshment drink. The staff is welcoming, and the check-in was quick. They are still using lift operators, who greet you each and every time you get in the lift. It’s just another little touch that makes this hotel different.
The moment we stepped into our suite, we were both amazed by the remarkable views of Central Park— the entire Upper East Side! If I could be more honest, apart from its one of the Upper East Side’s luxury landmarks, we opted for this hotel due to its amazing views, and we book particularly for Park View Suite 3906.
The best way I could describe this iconic hotel, particularly the architecture, is like a “French Classical Meets New York Chic’’ or an ‘‘Old World Charm Meets Modern Amenities’’.
Another amazing 48 hours at The Pierre Hotel we had was the attention to detail of this hotel was impressive, as my husband left a note on our booking that we are celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary. We received a bottle of champagne and a cake, it was a perfect time to celebrate with the sunset views over Central Park. And a welcome drink stub that we can avail in one of their bars; Perrine or in Two E Bar.
At night, we let the curtains open while enjoying the city skyline view until we had fallen asleep. And woken up by the rays of sunrise, and a cuddle with your better-half— was indeed a GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE! It was one of the most sentimental moments we have ever had, and that will remain forever in my heart. It was such a treat to wake up in the morning with such an incredible view of Central Park, indeed an amazing 48 hours at The Pierre Hotel.
Then, we opted for a room-serviced breakfast as we want to enjoy our room as much as we could. I could have stayed inside that room all day since it looked different at each time of the day. In general, the room was perfect, spacious, and I find it homey. With a walk-in wardrobe, a separate shower and tub, and not mention the Etro toiletries, which make the bathroom even more luxe.
The only downside that I could find during our amazing 48 hours at The Pierre Hotel was several events were going on both days and nights, and property tends to get crowded— that being said, you’ll miss the touch of exclusivity.
Just like the Rotunda restaurant, which I was dying to try. It has an impressive backdrop and perfect atmosphere for dinners. Unfortunately, for two days that we were there, it was closed for special events.
Without a doubt, I still fell in love with this hotel with such great interiors resonating luxury and heritage at every corner. I even have to say that The Pierre has got New York City’s best value for money. I really wish to stay again at this hotel when coming back to New York someday.
And yes, a mandatory picture for him, it’s because his name is Paul Pierre. 🙂
